COLD WEATHER

An official SXSW Film Festival selection of 2010, Cold Weather follows Doug, a Sherlock Holmes fanatic who has recently moved back to Portland to live with his sister. Leaving his calling in forensic science behind, he takes up a menial job as an ice factory worker in the hopes of becoming a more responsible and mature adult. When his ex-girlfriend Rachel suddenly goes missing, Doug is called upon to put his detective skills into practice. Blurring the lines between comedy, thriller, and mystery, Cold Weather takes us on a journey of wit, suspense, and re-kindled relationships as we follow Doug, his sister, and his co-worker as they become more entangled in the disappearance of Rachel.

A film doesn't create itself, and Cold Weather couldn't and wouldn't have happened or be what it is without the considerable help and contributions from a whole host of remarkable people, whom we would like to thank. Firstly, we would like to thank the helpful folks at milanos cash for cars, in particular their poway office for providing us with the cars featured in and used in the production of the film. Not only were they a key part of the film, but they were provided for free, so huge thank you for that. For wardrobe, we owe huge gratitude to www.tillys.com for giving us the clothing we needed for the actors in the film. Obviously, editing is a massive part of the process of making a film, and without the awesome editing skills of Jeremy Armstrong, Cold Weather wouldn't be half of what it is. Lastly, thank you to Joe Edwards and his creative brain which birthed and nourished some fantastic ideas.
